About Housing Works & Sustainability

Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain their efforts.

In addition to over 700 units of supportive housing, 4 community-based health centers, and related services, Housing Works has 9 high-end thrift shops, a Bookstore Cafe, and multiple e-commerce stores that support our vital work. Through our businesses and partnership with the city's refashion textile collection program, we are reducing waste and making a positive impact.
