Meet Our Speaker
Leah Rothstein is a housing policy expert with over 20 years of experience in community organizing, affordable housing policy, and public policy reform. She has worked with housing developers, local governments, and community organizations to advance fair housing and equitable development.
As co-author of Just Action, Leah travels nationwide, speaking to community groups, real estate associations, civil rights organizations, and policymakers about tangible steps to redress segregation and support inclusive housing. She has delivered keynote addresses at major housing, economic development, and civil rights conferences and continues to advise local governments on strategies to promote fair and affordable housing.
Leah holds a B.A. in American Studies from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School. She lives in Oakland, California, where she and her partner have created a co-housing community with friends, embracing a collaborative approach to homeownership and community living.
