Your Support Helps to Fund Pediatric Brain Cancer Research
All funds raised through this event will support the Lilabean Foundation (LBF) and its mission to fight pediatric brain cancer.
Founded 13 years ago by Nicole and Mike Giroux, parents of Holy Child Sophomore Lila Giroux, LBF is dedicated to funding research that improves treatments and outcomes for children diagnosed with brain cancer. Pediatric brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in children, yet it receives less than 1% of federal funding for brain cancer research. That’s why LBF’s work is so critical.
To date, the foundation has raised over $6 million, directly funding groundbreaking research and treatment advancements at leading institutions, including Children's National Hospital right here in our community. LBF’s efforts have provided hope to countless families and played a vital role in advancing the fight against pediatric brain cancer.
