The Warrior Run: Race for Life is going VIRTUAL!
We care about the safety of our participants and fans; therefore we felt it best to switch our annual Warrior Run to a virtual race this year.
The pandemic and social restrictions are negatively affecting physical and mental health, and we are all being challenged to figure out how to navigate the changes. The unprecedented uncertainty we are facing is causing, and will continue to cause, drastic damage to mental health. Now, more than ever, we need your support to battle the rapidly increasing mental health needs.
With so many community events cancelled as a result of COVID-19, we believe the Virtual Warrior Run is a great opportunity to join forces with other mental health warriors. Find Your Path to health and support 1N5’s mission of optimal mental health for local youth.
You can still -
But this year you can Find Your Path -
By participating and sharing your Warrior Run experience you help others find a path to wellness and help 1N5 guide local youth to find their paths to optimal mental health.

WHY WE RUN
In 2008, Jim Miller, an avid runner, a lifelong Mariemont resident, a loyal friend, a loving husband and father, died by suicide. Jim was an amazing man who always put others before himself. The Warrior Run was started in October 2008 by a group of Jim’s friends to commemorate his life.
75% of all mental illness originates before the age of 24. It takes the average individual 8-10 years to receive help and sadly 70% of those who need treatment never receive it. Two of the largest barriers to treatment are lack of education on the signs and symptoms of mental illness and stigma. In order for us to end suicide it is imperative to start mental health education and conversations as early as possible.
Every dollar raised through the Warrior Run supports evidence-based mental health educational programming in local schools. Past funding from this race supported Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to expand their suicide prevention program from 24 schools to 75 schools reaching thousands of local youth. Our dream is to expand mental health programming to all local schools so that no one fights this fight alone. Thank you for your help.
