The statewide Polar Plunge series in which individuals raise $75 or more for the chance to plunge into icy waters throughout Michigan in January-March helps to support over 22,000 Special Olympics Michigan athletes who train and compete year-round.

The Washtenaw County Polar Plunge will take place on Friday, February 21, 2020 inside Michigan Stadium - The Big House Under the Lights. Registration will begin at 6:30pm. outside of “The Tunnel”. The parade of costumes will take place down the tunnel and onto the field! The plunge will begin at 8:00pm. The Awards and Post Plunge Party will begin immediately following the last plunger.

Are you Too Chicken to Plunge? Don't worry...there's a shirt for that! Here is the 2020 t-shirt design. You can buy your shirt now under registration and pick it up the day of event. We will also have limited sizes for sale during the event. Even if you are 'Too Chicken' but would like to raise money for the athletes you can register above and join the Too Chicken to Plunge team. By joining this team, you can raise money, earn the same incentive items as the plungers, but you don't even need to get wet!
