Woodland Restoration
About the Volunteer Event
Heartland Conservation Alliance is thrilled to host a Woodland Restoration Event at the Heartland Overlook Preserve (HOP). Join us as Christian, a Master Naturalist and our Conservation Land Steward, provides an informative briefing on plant identification, woodland ecology, removal techniques for invasive plant species, safety protocols, and other essential aspects of woodland restoration.
Following the briefing, volunteers will actively participate in removing invasive species within the designated restoration zone, ensuring that native species are protected and unharmed.
This work is made possible through a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation with support from the US Fish & Wildlife Service.
