Mia is now 14 years old and was born with Joubert Syndrome. She is non-verbal communicating with her iPad and some sign language. She walked with a walker from the age of 2, at 7 years old she ditched the walker and now walks independently! She continues to meet milestones in her own time and constantly exceeds the expectations of her medical team. She has a multitude of challenges ahead for her lifetime, but she is very intelligent, creative, and has a great sense of humor.
