Cali Vail's 2019 Fundraiser for Boarding for Breast Cancer and Skate the Lake August 17, 2019

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!

My name is Cali Vail, and I am a 17-year-old student at North Tahoe High School.  Please support me in raising money for a non-profit organization called Boarding for Breast Cancer, (B4BC).  The mission statement for B4BC is to “empower young people to make positive and healthy choices that promote lifelong wellness through outreach, prevention, sustainability, and supports programs for the prevention of cancer,” all while celebrating life! 2019 will be my sixth year participating and supporting B4BC at the Skate the Lake event at Lake Tahoe. To date, I have raised over $5000 for cancer research and education.

I started fundraising for B4BC because I believe in the importance of community service,
Cancer research and supporting people who have been impacted by cancer. Eliminating cancer is important to me because several of my family members and many of my friend’s lives have been painfully affected by cancer. I want cancer researchers to figure out how to prevent and eliminate ALL forms of cancer so that no one has to suffer from this disease or its repercussions. B4BC is an environmentally conscious non-profit and runs a zero-waste blueprint for all of its events. Additionally, B4BC continually strives to decrease their carbon footprint.

My family believes community service and helping others are essential core values that lead to a meaningful and productive life. B4BC’s cause is to raise money to support cancer research, to educate people, especially young girls, about cancer awareness, the importance of early cancer detection, and teaches how to do self-breast exams. B4BC’s platform operates in a supportive and fun way that focuses on health, encouraging others, challenging oneself,  having fun, and making new friends.  B4BC raises money for breast cancer research and education by hosting fun events that include action sports such as skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing. These events have silent auctions, raffles, music, good-natured competition, and cool prizes. B4BC was founded in1996 to fund research groups to help understand and better treat breast cancer, and breast cancer patients, to educate and empower people with knowledge, and to FIND THE CURE FOR CANCER!

Please support Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) by donating through my page. The process is easy, fast, and secure. Thank you so much for your support.  Please share this page with anyone you think might be interested in supporting cancer research, B4BC, and me, by donating to this important cause at B4BC.

Thank you very much for supporting me, and B4BC!

Thank you for your generous contribution and support of the fundraiser for the Boarding for Breast cancer, and me. This year, B4BC raised almost 40,000. With your help, I raised $2,115 and was the top fundraiser!   Thank you to every one of you for donating to my campaign for this year’s B4BC. Your contribution is gratefully appreciated. This year B4BC’s 15th Skate the lake event raised more money than any other year.   More than 120 people ages 4 to 75 skated in this special event.   Thank you again for supporting B4BC, cancer awareness, and me.   Sincerely,   Cali Vail
