Learn Fresh Education Co., the parent company of NBA Math Hoops (NMH) , is a transformative nonprofit that empowers educators with innovative STEM and social-emotional learning experiences built around sports and entertainment. I've was introduced to NMH in 2014 and was blown away by the creative concept and its impact. I immediately invited NMH to present at my first Basketball Analytics Summit. The rest is history! I am fired up to advocate for this amazing game that is changing the lives of youth. Students who engage in Learn Fresh programs discover a new way of learning that is fun, highly engaging, and results in academic and social-emotional growth. Ultimately, it is our goal to achieve equitable representation across the STEM pipeline for girls, students of color, and those living in low-income communities.

Did you know that nationwide, 82% of low-income students are not proficient in math by the eighth grade? Learn Fresh is working to change this terrible stat! NMH creates champions in the classroom and the smiles are infectious. How do we do it? NMH engages 4-8th grade students in fundamental math and social-emotional learning through the introduction and analysis of professional men's and women's basketball players shooting stats. Our team includes educators, school administrators, NBA and WNBA players/teams/owners, corporations, and caring individuals like you. Every dollar raised will help cover the implementation cost of NBA Math Hoops, ensuring every educator has the opportunity to bring this program to their students this year!
