Eleanor (Ellie) Jean was born on July 5, 2019. She lived a perfectly healthy 9 days with us at home. On July 14, she fell extremely ill and was rushed by ambulance to a local emergency room and was later life-flighted to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. It was determined that Ellie had contracted a life-threatening viral infection known as enterovirus, which ultimately became fatal for her. She passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2019 at just 12 days old. 

We are her voice and promise to be the voice of babies everywhere to help fight off and prevent viral infections from taking another sweet, innocent life too soon. 

Please help us to honor and celebrate Ellie as well as many of her angel friends as we raise money for No Foot Too Small. NFTS celebrates angels, unites loss families and focuses on building birthing and bereavement suites for those who unfortunately don't get to bring their sweet babies home. 

Angels in the Outfield is typically a fun event held at the Iowa Cubs Stadium in Des Moines, however with the current state of things, we will be celebrating and hosting this event in a much different way. We will celebrate Ellie and all of our angel babies from afar as we participate in Angels in the Outfield from our very own backyard on Sunday, May 17.
