My name is Courtney Coleman. I am very excited to be one of the four swimmers representing Team Oklahoma at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando from June 5 - 12, 2022.  The USA Games will host over 4,000 athletes from the United States and 14 other countries.

Swimming has been part of my life since I was 8 years old.  The first time I jumped into a pool, I sank to the bottom of the pool and thought I'd come up swimming.  That didn't happen.  My first time in the pool was really scary.  It took me a while but my Special Olympics swimming coach taught me how to swim. Special Olympics, my family, and my friends have also taught me how to believe in myself, develop my abilities, and learn from my disabilities.  

Swimming is hard work but I believe I will do a good job for Team Oklahoma. I practice four times a week and I work hard to be a good swimmer.  I am glad Team Oklahoma picked me and I am proud to represent Oklahoma at the USA Games.

Special Olympics Oklahoma asked athletes to help pay for expenses related to the trip to the USA Games. I need to raise at least $1,400 but I want to raise as much as I can. I would appreciate your donation. The process is fast, easy, and secure.
