I have been selected as one of the four swimmers to compete in the USA Games in Orlando in 2022 for Team Oklahoma.  My teammates are from different parts of the state and we will soon begin to meet each other for practice.

I began swimming about 10 years ago after watching my brother swim for a season on a local swim team.  When I started swimming I didn’t know that this would be the way I would learn to cope and overcome my differences.  Swimming has changed by life for the better.

Over the years I have found that there is absolutely no other place I’d rather be than in a pool.  I feel that when I am in the water swimming that all other challenges in my life are washed away.  When I swim I feel free from everything.  I dream of someday making it to World Special Olympics for swimming.

I would really like for everyone to be able to learn from me that with a lot of hard work, dedication and prayers that anything is really possible.  I have been blessed to have an excellent support system and live in a community that doesn’t judge me by how long it takes me to learn something, but instead encourages me to continue trying to accomplish more and try harder.

I have been a member of the following local swim teams:

Duncan High School, Head Coach Andrew Bowers
Bison, Head Coaches JC Riley and Andrew Bowers
My current swim team is Specially Made Penguins

All of these teams have accepted me for who I am and I would like to thank all the coaches, support staff and teammates for helping me become the swimmer I am today and always believing in me.  

Special Olympics has asked that each athlete raise money to help offset the cost of uniforms, travel and other necessary items that are needed to get Team Oklahoma to Orlando, FL.  If you are able to donate I would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for taking your time to visit my page.  Remember donations made go to Special Olympics of Oklahoma on my behalf, making them a tax deduction for charitable contributions since they are a nonprofit organization.
