I first attempted the Crucible in 2018. I had never done anything like it before and had little knowledge of what it would take (physically and emotionally) to complete it. I made it 31 miles that year before rain, cold, and unpreparedness caused me to bow out.

I returned in 2019 with better gear, a more prepared body, and a team of good friends to help tackle the beast. We beat it together, and I’m still very proud of the completion medal I earned.

I’m most proud of the nearly $5000 in fundraising I completed over those two years. After a two year hiatus, I am looking forward to adding to that total and beating the beast again this year.
