Our efforts last year to drive donations towards the blind and visually impaired programs was more successful than we ever could have imagined. Your generosity allowed us to exceed our goals by more than 4x.

We hope to not only match and exceed last years' goals but also drive awareness to the seeing impaired community and how we can continue to help. It costs three times more to produce a book in braille than it does in print. Donations help cover the difference so that braille books are available for the same price they are in print because NBP believes a blind person should not have to pay more for the same information! Your donations mean so much to us but also your education as well!

A little bit of background: My older sister, Ali, was born sightless so causes related to the blind community have a deep meaning to us especially since it's rare we personally see funds or donations spotlighted towards these types of causes. One of the decisions my parents made early on was having Ali learn braille which has opened so many things to her including independence, creativity and general quality of life.

A group of runners will be running the equivalent of 2620 miles through the end of April. My family is committing to running the equivalent of three marathons and raising money for the cause.
