Thanks for visiting Peter's fundraising page!
My husband Peter was fitter than many men half his age. He had completed 17 triathlons, always choosing the longest distance races. His longest was the Disney Half Ironman as you can see from the profile photo. He wasn't able to compete any more after having a hip replacement 5 years ago, but he still trained regularly and hard to maintain his cardio strength.
On Sunday 17th July, 2022 while doing his usual training in our home gym he suffered a "sudden cardiac event". Despite the paramedics arriving in under 5 minutes he was gone.
The coroner told me that the only thing that could have saved him was if there was a defibrillator right there. Obviously our home basement does not have one, and why would we? He was as fit as a flea!
Whilst I do love flowers, it made no sense at all to fill my house with them. I already received more flowers than I had surfaces to stand them on and the funeral was not for another 3 weeks yet!
So in lieu of flowers for Peter's funeral and in memory of Peter I have chosen Mikey as an appropriate charity to support.
This is a local charity based in Toronto and there are a handful of AED in my town already and I'd like to help make more available.
Please help me support The Mikey Network by making a donation through my page. The process is fast, easy and secure. Thanks so much for your support... and please don't forget to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in donating!

It is 898 days since you left me my love. I love and missed you every single one. As you can't follow me into '25 I am donating $2500 in the hope that someone else, with the help of a Mikey, can still join their loved ones into the new year.

Happy Heavenly Christmas little bro. We miss you so very much - I can't remember the last time I told you I loved you but I'm sure that you would have known and that will never change. We will have a slice of Christmas cake for you and remember your cheeky smile when you would pinch a slice when you thought no-one was watching!!! RIP Peter, may the angels watch over you xxxx
