A few years ago, my dear friend Yadi got a spot in the NYC Marathon, but then Yadi found out she had breast cancer. So she had to defer her chance to be tortured all over the city of New York in favor of being tortured all over the state of Texas while she BEAT THE HELL out of her cancer. I promised her that when she was ready to take on the race, I would fundraise for cancer research and run it by her side. So, even though I "quit" marathons this year, I'M BACK! I'm going to raise money for this amazing organization that will ensure that physical activity plays a key role in cancer treatment. Yadi is an inspiration to me, and we are going to have the time of our lives as we run all around New York City, because SHE CAN.
