Aloha Family and Friends!

My name is Nicole Inouye and I'm proud to be the first female Special Olympics Hawaii athlete who has gone Over The Edge!  I'm going to do it again this year!  I have been a Special Olympics athlete since I was 10 years old.  I am a team member of the Kamali'i Koa delegation and I compete in swimming, bocce, and bowling.  Special Olympics has given me the chance to compete in sports and has helped me find my voice.  I am a Special Olympics Health Messenger and belong to the Toastmasters Club.

Being a part of Special Olympics has given me courage and confidence.  I’m going to show everyone how brave Special Olympics athletes can be and go Over the Edge!  I will be rappelling 40 stories - that's 400 feet - down the side of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa to raise funds and show support for my fellow athletes!  

My greatest Special Olympics accomplishment was when I competed in the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games in New Jersey.  I won 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal in swimming!  I was so proud to represent Hawaii at a national competition.  

Last year, I was able to raise $10,235 for SOHI and my fellow athletes.  Please help me do it again this year!  An Angel Donor is going to double each donation I receive.  I'm trying to raise $5,000, which will be doubled to $10,000!
