Hello, everyone! Books have always been part of my life and my family's lives. We are passionate about them! As many of you know, I am currently involved with a fantastic company called Behind the Book. They are a dynamic, innovative organization committed to cultivating a love for reading and writing in NYC students attending under-served schools. They empower children to become lifelong learners through free programs that provide diverse and culturally relevant books, author visits, and interactive, multidisciplinary learning experiences.

By contributing to this fundraising page, you can help BtB reach even more students this year. Budget cuts have had devastating effects our NYC schools, severely curtailing and often completely eradicating any funding for literary outreach programs, hitting areas the hardest that need it the most. Your support will provide children with access to quality resources and the opportunity to discover the joy of reading and learning through BtB's varied programming which, I can tell you firsthand, have a profound impact inn these young people.
