Thanks for supporting The Breasties!
Diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) at 35, in the height of the global pandemic was terrifying and isolating. Six months of chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, including a double mastectomy, transfusions, and countless doctors’ appointments, were all done solo, masked, and with the fear I wouldn’t reach my 40th birthday. Camp Breastie was transformational! Living in Arizona, I’ve met very few women my age undergoing treatment and the difficult decisions related to being BRCA positive. While the Breastie Zooms had provided me solace, connections, and support, Camp Breastie took that to the next level. It was the perfect balance of restoration, information, and affirmation. While I had never met a Breastie IRL, I immediately found meaningful connections and developed friendships that have carried well beyond the Catskills mountains. I greatly appreciated the intentionally, inclusive nature of camp, the diverse session offerings, and the uplifting spirit of all who attended. Camp encouraged and provided resources for advocacy efforts and sparked a desire for me to get more involved in my local community to build awareness, take action, and advocate. Counting down the days to Camp Breastie 2024 and thrilled to support ensuring that 500 Breasties can attend Camp for free!

This four day summit dismantles the idea that knowledge-sharing can only take place in stuffy conference rooms. From a challenging ropes course, informative panels, topic based meetups, to a dance festival of epic proportions, Camp Breastie has been a catalyst for transformative connections and knowledge-sharing. Insights gained have equipped Breasties with the tools to navigate the complexities of their health and wellness.
Camp Breastie costs The Breasties nonprofit organization over $500,000 to put on. We pride ourselves on bringing together renowned experts, innovators, advocates and researchers, we accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions, and we plan over 100 Programs and activities to choose from.
When the community says jump, The Breasties always ask how high?
In order to keep Camp Breastie accessible for all, the ticket price for Camp has always been below the amount it costs the organization to run the program. It costs $1000 per Breastie to run Camp Breastie but it was important for us to reduce that cost as much as possible.
This year, with your help, we hope to make Camp Breastie FREE for all, through the Community Fund.
The Camp Breastie Community Fund allows for Breasties and supporters to fundraise to help raise money to offset the ticket prices for Breasties to attend Camp. Help us cover the cost of Breastie ticket prices and we will cover the rest.
