In 2015 I became involved with Special Olympics Michigan so that I could provide opportunities for my students to participate in unified activities at the elementary level.  Special Olympics has provided my students and families so many opportunities including lasting friendships.  Last year I was able to introduce Unified and Young Athletes to State Road elementary.  My hope is that over the years it continues to evolve and grow.
