Thanks for visiting my Barks 'n Rec fundraising page!

Thanks for visiting my Barks 'n Rec fundraising page!

Ivy and I are so glad to be participating in Saint Francis Service Dogs' spring fundraiser, Barks 'n Rec.

This is MY fourth year participating, but it is Ivy's FIRST!  (because she's only 4 months old).  In the past, I have had the pleasure of having some beloved old friends join me for hikes, contests, and plain old fun for a good cause during the week of Barks 'n Rec.  Not this year.  Mary Garrett took a tumble that landed her in surgery and an ankle boot, Wirt is dashing away on a fabulous trip to Mexico, and Anne Paige is also traveling, so we are going to have to wait until next year to get the band back together.

In the meantime, Ivy and I are going to hold down the Barks 'n Rec fort.  Ivy is a Saint Francis puppy that I am doing my best to puppy raise.  During the week of April 15-21, I am going to attempt to teach Ivy something each day that will be critical to her development into a future Saint Francis Service Dog (hopefully!).  There is a lot that goes into each of our dogs, and I am hoping you will join me on this journey as I show Ivy a few of the things that are going to really matter down the road.  We will post our lesson every day on social media, assuming I can figure out how to do that.

As you know, Saint Francis raises, trains, and places service and facility dogs to help people with disabilities reach their own goals and achieve greater independence. I am participating in Barks 'n Rec to raise funds and awareness for Saint Francis Service Dogs' mission.

Want to help me and Ivy reach our goals - both to help Ivy become a Saint Francis Service Dog and to help Saint Francis?

Support by making a donation to my page. The process is fast, easy, and secure... and you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause - helping people with disabilities live more independent lives with a Saint Francis Service Dog by their side.

Thank you!

SUPER excited for another year of Barks n’ Rec ~ and to see the young, brave and talented Ivy pick up the torch from Legacy Winning Olympiad Eve, who’s skill, sparkle and fashions are so well remembered. Raising a glass and dog treat to Ivy and all 2024 participants
