In February 2025, I am having a Bat Mitzvah; a Bat Mitzvah is a significant life event for a Jewish girl when she turns 13 and involves studying for (and running) a religious service at our synagogue. However, my Bat Mitzvah also involves finding a way to give back to my community and engage in a charitable project. For my Bat Mitzvah project, I am collecting used sports equipment for an organization called Leveling the Playing Field (LPF), which is an organization that was founded in 2013 (https://www.levelingtheplayingfield.org/). LPF collects used sports equipment and distributes it to schools in under-resourced communities in need so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate in a sport, including soccer. Sports - soccer, in particular - have been such a core part of my childhood and have helped me develop so many friendships that it was easy to get behind LPF's mission. I recognize how fortunate I have been to have had the opportunities to be part of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Academy (RDA)  and Pine-Richland Soccer Club (PRSC) but also know that not everyone in and around our community is so lucky.

Join me in helping increase access to youth sports. Help ensure EVERY child has the ability to participate in sports and recreation.
