Peace friends and family,
Thanks for coming to my page. I hope wherever you are, you're in good health and finding moments of joy.
I have set a personal target of $5,000 toward a larger goal of $100,000 to help resource the tour of Papel Machete's play, On the Eve of Abolition. I am specifically working to raise the $5,000 in our project budget that is dedicated to supporting our two incarcerated collaborators: Pitt Panther and Krystal Clark. These funds will go toward their commissary, phone/email costs, and artist stipends.
Since the early days of this project, we have maintained close contact with both Krystal and Pitt, engaging them in the creative process, supporting them where we can, and incorporating their ideas, artwork and voices into the production. For me personally, Krystal and Pitt have become dear friends and comrades. Through these friendships, I have witnessed the devastation and torture of the U.S. carceral system, and the incredible resolve and commitment of both Krystal and Pitt, to their lives and those of their loved ones.
It is from this space that I ask y'all, my community, for support. Will you help me reach my goal in 2025?
If giving money is not an option at this time, I've listed a couple other ways you can support:
- Share this page anywhere you think would be helpful:
- Follow our project (we might be coming to your town!): @agitarte_cultural_works @papelmachete
Thank you for reading and being in my life. Wishing you peace as we transition into 2025.
Love,
tina (aka pitirre bird puppeteer)
