The Waterbearers, Inc. is collaborating with More Than Me Girls Academy to launch a Clean Water Program for West Point Liberia.

Liberia’s first all girls school, the More Than Me Academy was founded by my friend (and hero) Katie Meyler. She has committed her life to helping the girls create a new future through education, one that is filled with hope and possibility. The school is located in West Point, which is also home to Liberias largest slum with nearly 100,00 residents without any working plumbing. The girls right now have to travel far to reach a working well-which is not only dangerous, but not good for their bodies to be carrying and lugging the water. Some of our Waterbearer travel team leaders were just on the ground in Liberia working with the girls of the school training them on how the filters work. All of the money raised for my campaign will go directly to purchase and distribution of these life saving filters. Each $50 filter has the capacity to serve 100 people and lasts for 10 years!

We have a courier going back into Liberia in May, so very quickly your donations will be converted into real change in their lives. Together we can make a real difference in their lives, and their communities.
