This is Dalia! 

Dalia and her family are a perfect match for our Boston team! Dalia has MERRF Syndrome, a rare form of mitochondrial disease. Three years ago she lost her ability to breathe without a ventilator, to speak, and to eat by mouth. Yet Dalia continues to inspire those around her with her sweetness, resilience, and sense of humor. Dalia’s mom, Jessie, is on the board of MitoAction.

Dalia's epic Magic Wheelchair costume will be revealed on October 2, 2017 at Disorder: The Rare Disease Film Festival — a new event showcasing films from around the world which address the challenges of life with a rare disease.
