Our team is fundraising to build an epic costume for an amazing kiddo!

SOLIDWORKS is proud to expand on the SOLIDWORKS For Good initiative by partnering with Magic Wheelchair to build an epic costume for a kiddo! SOLIDWORKS Education is sponsoring all of the SOLIDWORKS For Good Magic Wheelchair builds.

All money raised on this page goes directly to Magic Wheelchair so they can continue their fantastic work. Through the build, SOLIDWORKS hopes to raise awareness for Magic Wheelchair and the cause they support: giving children in wheelchairs the most insane, fun, and exciting costumes they could ever imagine. Members of the SOLIDWORKS team have come together to volunteer their time and skills and build an incredible costume for one amazing kiddo, Jonah.

Meet Jonah!

Jonah is a funny and intelligent 11-year-old who enjoys monster trucks, Dr. Who, telling jokes, and being silly. He is the fourth child out of seven siblings, and sometimes his sister joins him when he posts videos to his Youtube channel, Monster Jamer. Every year, Jonah and his family attend Monster Jam, where Jonah gets to watch his favorite truck, Max-D, perform insane stunts.

Jonah has a condition called Arthrogryposis, which causes his joints to be in a fixed, locked position, with the exception of his shoulder and hips, which are tight but not locked. Often, Jonah is left out of activities with his siblings and friends because he can’t be lifted out of his wheelchair to enjoy amusement park rides, go-karts, jumpy houses, and other adventures.

Jonah’s mother contacted Magic Wheelchair to provide him with a costume that would make him the talk of the town and enjoy a magical moment in the spotlight. His dream costume, she said, would allow him to be the driver of his favorite monster truck, Max-D. Magic Wheelchair paired Jonah up with SOLIDWORKS and now the build team is hard at work creating a costume that won’t just put him in the spotlight—Jonah will stop the whole show!
