Welcome to our team page!

Welcome to our team page!

We are so close to our goals: We’re completing our building, have hired an Executive Director and we’re in the process of hiring and training excellent teachers. This Spring we shall be registering 50 children for spaces in the Fall. With your help, we shall be opening the kindergarten this September (2021).

To give you a sense of how far a donation will go, here is a list of capital items that we need to finish:

$ 2500 will buy us indoor play equipment (100 donations of $25 will get us there)
$ 500 will pay for library shelving (10 donations of $50 will get us there)
$ 25 will pay for a child’s chair (We need 50 chairs)
$55 will pay for a group table (We need 10 tables)
$1500 will pay for outdoor playground equipment (20 donations of $75 will get us there)
$500 will pay for kitchen equipment (10 donations of $50 will get us there)
$900 will pay for a teacher's computer - we need 3
$350 will pay for a printer.

To help sustain the school operations over a year:
$ 1500  will provide a full scholarship for a student for one year
$  750   will provide a half-scholarship for a student for one year
$    75   will provide a summer and winter uniform (2 pairs) for a student
$    25   will provide paper, crayons, paints and markers for a student for one year

Wherever possible we aim to priorities local spending. To date almost all the labor on site has been from the camp. Approximately 30 workers supporting over 130 family members have benefitted from the construction period. The school already belongs to the community!

Your generous donations can help us meet these needs of families and the school.
