The U.S. legal system presents many challenges for newcomers, especially those experiencing language and cultural barriers. From lack of knowledge about what is and is not legal in the U.S., to navigating a complex immigration system, to managing extensive paperwork, there are many ways people can face legal troubles despite their best intentions. 

The cross-cultural community center being established at 906 Division Ave in Grand Rapids will create opportunities for our newest neighbors from around the world to connect with the legal services they need and to participate in educational opportunities to learn more about the systems in their new community.
