The State of Oregon
The State of Oregon
Oregon is at a crossroads. Our efforts in behavioral health have long been siloed, leading to fragmented services and limited access to care. But we can change this—together.
Consider this: nearly 37,000 adolescents in Oregon are battling substance use disorder, including alcohol abuse. Yet, there are only 36 treatment beds available. The reality is stark, and the resources are scarce.
Even more alarming, primary prevention receives less than 1% of 1% of Oregon’s budget for addressing the addiction crisis.
But there is hope.
RecoveryUprise was formed with a single belief: that advocacy and public pressure can drive change. By demanding more from our elected officials, we can establish community-based programs that provide education, peer support, activities, and clinical services. Together, we can build a system that meets the needs of our children. This is why we are supporting this years Walk for Recovery.
But we can’t do it alone. We need your help.
Act now. Share this message, donate to our cause, and join us in holding our leaders accountable. The future of our children depends on the actions we take today.
As adults in Oregon, this is our responsibility.
