HELP US ACHIEVE OUR GOAL

ONE DONATION AT A TIME

Register to ride, join our crew, or donate to help us end AIDS in New York by 2020. You can support a specific rider or crew member, or make a general donation to support our efforts.

LIFE ON THE RIDE

The road to the end of AIDS begins in Cooperstown! BRAKING AIDS® Ride begins on Friday, September 13, 2019. All riders must arrive by 4:30 pm on Thursday, September 12 for our Registration Eve activities; crew must arrive Thursday by 12:00 pm.

The ride begins at 6:30 Friday morning with a brief, moving Opening Ceremony. From there, you’ll ride 300 miles over the next three days. Your first day will take you up the Lake Otsego shoreline, along the Mohawk River, and into Albany. Your second day will begin with a moment of silence at the State Capital before riding through the foothills of the Catskills with glimpses of the Hudson River. You’ll cap the Ride with a journey down the Hudson River Valley into New York City for our victory celebration.

On the ride, our extraordinary, volunteer crew will anticipate your needs as you ride. The route is amply marked and at tricky turns you’ll find crew to guide you safely through. Our sweep vans have a way of appearing when you need them. Every 12-15 miles you’ll find an “Oasis” – like a rest stop, but way more fun. You'll spend your nights enjoying hot meals and an evening program with all participants, and sleep in comfy hotel rooms along the route. Our fabulous gear team will move your luggage for you to each hotel, so you'll never have to schlep your own bags. #winning

BRAKING AIDS® Ride will end with a closing ceremony on Sunday evening, September 15th. Invite your friends and family to celebrate your accomplishment! You deserve the ovation for a job bravely done.
