I am "stepping up" and taking part in Nurturing Minds' Walk for Water, a 3.7 mile walk, run or hike which will take place on Sunday, September 26th.  

Women and girls in Tanzania and across Africa walk an average of 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) a day to collect water for their families. By taking part in Nurturing Minds' Walk for Water, I am bringing awareness to the impact that time-consuming tasks like carrying water can have on girls attending school and completing their education.

The funds I raise will help provide water for drinking, sanitation, and hygiene to over 275 students who attend the SEGA Girls' School in Morogoro, Tanzania.
