As many of you already know, our husband and father, Gary Anderson, was diagnosed with FTD in the Fall of 2016.  We walked a very challenging journey over those years and sadly FTD took our Gary in November 2019. While we lost our amazing guy, in his honor and memory we have made it our mission to support families in our community who are walking the horrific FTD journey.  

FTD is the most common form of dementia for people under the age of 60. It strikes in the prime of life, gradually eroding an individual’s personality, their ability to speak, make sound decisions, control their movements, behave within social norms and relate to those they love. The hardest part for us was that currently there are NO approved treatments, and most providers lack knowledge of appropriate care. In 2019 we formed a non-profit charity - Gary's FUB Team.  Our goal is to:

 -  provide education & awareness to the community about the disease Frontotemporal Degeneration(FTD), 

-  support caregivers and those living with the disease, 

-  conduct fundraising to support Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration(AFTD.org)

This will be our 4th Annual AFTD Fundraiser. Prior to Covid-19 we held in person events with live music, food trucks, raffles and silent auctions.  Last year, we supported AFTD through their FTD Hot Shot Challenge.  This year, we have decided to go virtual to ensure a safe environment for all.  We can't wait to get back to in-person in 2022.
