I am participating in Day in the Dirt this year not only to support gardens around Vermont but also to update our school garden at Jericho Elementary School. Our fencing and raised beds need some updating. Our school learning garden is used by all grade levels K-4 to learn about pollination, soil, healthy foods, harvesting and cooking. Students participate in all aspects of planting, cultivating, harvesting and cooking.
