Making History
My name is Rylee, I am a Cystic FIbrosis (CF) warrior and I am going to make history.
Its not everyday you can say that.
This year I will be paddling over 80 miles across the Atlantic Gulf Stream, from Bimini, Bahamas to Lake Worth Beach, Florida in a single night and day to become the first women with Cystic Fibrosis to finish as an iron crusader.
Having the opportunity to participate in this event is not only an accomplishment in its self but to spread awareness and fundraiser for CF Warriors like myself to live their lives to the fullest is the true meaning of this event.

ABOUT CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria, leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients. There is no known cure, and the disease demands significant treatments every single day.

We are a CF family, fighting for other CF families.
Our vision is to provide the most socially innovative solutions to the cystic fibrosis community to empower each individual and family to live their greatest life possible.
We encourage those who are fighting this battle courageously to reach out to us with ideas on how we can better serve our community.
