Raising Up Positive Impact Health Centers

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page!

Please help me support Positive Impact Health Centers by making a donation through my page. The process is fast, easy and secure.

I have challenged myself to Face My Fear of non controlled heights by jumping from a cliff in to a body of water to help Positive Impact Health Centers (PIHC). This metro Atlanta nonprofit provides the community comprehensive, evidence-based, specialty care through medical services, mental health counseling, addiction treatment, support programs, and prevention and testing services.

In their first  year (1993), Positive Impact provided 135 clients affected by HIV/AIDS with free mental  health services.  Last year, Positive Impact Health Centers continued to serve  OVER 5,000 clients by providing culturally competent mental health counseling,  substance abuse treatment and risk reduction services (to name a few) to the  HIV/AIDS affected community....free of charge. As you can see,  the need for what Positive Impact Health Centers does each year has grown  tremendously and as a non-for-profit agency, supporters like you are crucial to  the success of the programs at PHIC.  In addition, over 93 cents of each dollar  you donate supports direct client services, which speaks  volumes about how your contribution is invested!

Still, in 2023, stigma leads to a fear of testing, taking medications, starting recovery, enrolling in counseling, and engaging in HIV medical care.

I wanted to help patients. clients, and community members face those fears by raising money.

If I reach my goal, I will face my own fear of non controlled heights by jumping from a cliff in to a body of water and post about it on social media.  My fear of heights where I do not feel like I am in control includes driving or walking across bridges, rapidly ascending elevators, jumping in to water from higher than a diving board among other situations,  This fear has led to me not being able to take advantage of opportunities that present themselves in daily living activities.

Thank you for helping me move the community forward in creating a world without fear.
