Join me in supporting the journey to transform lives and create a brighter future for people impacted by addiction
Over the years, I have lost numerous friends to addiction and felt the profound pain of loving someone who is struggling with substance use. Addiction has touched my life deeply, and I know that many others have faced similar heartache.
The stigma surrounding addiction often prevents people from seeking the help they need. The 10th Annual Changing the Face of Addiction Recovery Walk is more than just a fundraiser for an incredible organization that has provided free support for 50 years; it is a chance for us to come together and break this stigma.
I am proud to have worked for the Center for Prevention & Counseling for nearly four years, where I witness the incredible impact this organization makes every day. Many of my coworkers are in long-term recovery, thriving and using their lived experiences to inspire and support others in their recovery journey.
By supporting me in this walk, you help to create a unified front to encourage open discussions about addiction and promote a compassionate, educated community. The ripple effect of our collective efforts can be both life-changing and life-saving.
No donation is too small and every dollar raised matters! Please support me by helping me reach my fundraising goal. If you're local and feel called to participate in this amazing, family-friendly event, please register and walk with me! Thank you!

Thanks to Shannon Derstine for giving me the opportunity to support the fight against drug addiction. Personally knowing the tragedy my family has endured, Shannon has shown strength and compassion through many years of friendship. In the memory of my son, Scott Silver (cancer), and of my grandson, Kyle Silver (addiction), I donate to this walk with determination of Changing the Face of Addiction.
