Thanks for the support!
If this is your first time here, thank you and keep reading.
For those repeat visitors, I appreciate you, year in and year out!
This is an event that I have been supporting since its onset in 2011 both physically and financially. Every year friends and family like yourselves have helped me to achieve new goals. Over the years your generosity has helped me raise over $35k…I humbly ask for your continued support. Please take a moment to read the story behind the 31 Heroes Project effort and its focus on helping to support the families of Extortion 17 and honor their legacy by helping to fund the treatment of TBI/PTSD.
As you may recall from previous years' post, on 8/6/11 US forces suffered the largest loss of life in a single day during the Afghan War as 30 service-members, across 3 branches and 1 working dog, were killed by a Taliban RPG taking out their Chinook helicopter. Since then the 31 Heroes Project & the CrossFit community have banded together through a WOD and fundraiser to help support the families of those killed, the Navy Seal community & to aid in the treatment of PTSD and TBI. As you all know, I'm not a vet but both Mom and Dad are, their dedication to the defense of our Freedoms have shaped who I am today, for that I thank them and this is my way of giving back and supporting those who've continued to give their lives so that we can all agree to disagree without repercussions.
Inflation may be easing but the mission never stops. If the 31 Heroes Project aligns with your philanthropic goals, please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter the amount (but $31+ gets you a soft, comfortable tee-shirt), makes a difference in the lives of these brave families. Your generosity will help provide vital support and resources to those who have sacrificed so much for our Freedom.
I ask for your support in any way possible…Andrew Jacksons, Ulysses S. Grants & Ben Franklins are all acceptable, I don’t discriminate.
This year @crossfitmidtown will be hosting our fundraiser WOD on 8/10, if you're in the ATL, please come support and/or partner up.
