Hope lives at McAlister Institute.  Recovery is difficult, and it can take someone many attempts to make it.  The strain on family and friends during that process is difficult.  Equally difficult to the person struggling, because they feel weak and that they are letting everyone down.  They are not weak; they just need professional help.  McAlister has answered the call for someone close to me when they needed help.  So, I know the difference McAlister can make. While struggling to reclaim their lives, many have put their health on the back burner.  Not taking care of chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pleasure, HIV and even hepatitis C.  In treatment programs like McAlister, clients can focus on their substance use disorder while reclaiming their health.  It's been great to work with staff from McAlister on the End Hep C SD initiative.
