Thanks for visiting my mitzvah page!

Save a Child's Heart (SACH) is a humanitarian organization based in Israel, with a global mission to provide life-saving surgery to children of all backgrounds, who suffer from congenital and acquired heart defects who have no access to care in their native countries.

I've visited the Save a Child's Heart children's home in Israel a few times, and I got to play with some of the kids who were recovering. The video above shows me playing with Shaida from Kurdistan. We were the same age, and even though we didn’t speak the same language, we still had a great time together.

The reason I chose Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) for my Bat Mitzvah project is because I feel a strong connection to it. I’m training to run the Publix Half Marathon on March 2nd to raise money for a child’s heart surgery. The surgery costs $15,000, which includes things like hospitalization, travel, and room and board for the child and their guardian.

By running this half marathon, I’m really pushing myself to my physical limits, and I’m inspired by the kids who are fighting through their health challenges. I’m doing this to raise money so that one day, a child who needs medical treatment will be able to run too.

It would mean a lot to me if you join me in this special and important cause. Thank you for helping me reach my goal!

It was 33 degrees and windy. Spike and I were concerned that Lulu would be cold and there was a lot of conversation...
