Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
This year I am celebrating 7 years since my heart transplant at the age of 25, and my 7th year participating in the Blue/Green 5K. The first time I participated was 6 weeks after being released from the hospital after my transplant.
Without organ donation , I wouldn't be here today. I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for. I will continue to participate in the Blue/Green 5k fundraiser for as long as I am able. I walk in honor of my unknown donor, as well as in memory of James McGowan ( a friend of mine who became a donor at the very young age of 8 ). With his family and friends , we will continue to honor James.
This fundraiser is important to me and my family ( who join me every year ) we raise money to help bring awareness of the importance of becoming an organ donor.
I would appreciate any donation you can afford, and please share my page to all your family and friends. The more funds raised, the more people we can educate on the importance of registering as an organ donor. If you aren't a registered donor, you can easily register at registerme.org
Thank you for your consideration. It would mean the world to me.
**Please help me support New England Donor Services by making a contribution to my page. Our team is working to raise funds for organ and tissue donation...to help save and heal more lives.
Thanks so much for your support... and please don't forget to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in making a contribution!
