Welcome to our team page!
Dearest friends and family,
Thank you for joining us on this evolving journey to improve the lives and community of the wonderful people of Takure, Nepal.
Following the tragic earthquake in April, 2015, that destroyed nearly 100% of their homes and schools, I felt the calling do something to help. So in October of that year I traveled across the globe to join the amazing volunteers and leaders of Conscious Impact to do my part. The community welcomed us into their homes, with open arms and loving hearts, sharing everything they had with us.
I went to Takure hoping to contribute and make a difference in the lives of those we served, but I had no idea the difference they would make in my life. My time and experience in the Himalayan countryside, in their remote, quaint village, made a lasting impression on me that will forever be felt in my heart and soul.
I look forward to visiting and working along side them again one day, but until that day I will continue to do what I can to help them rebuild, grow and prosper. This project goes a long way in aiding this cause, and your contributions are tremendously valued and appreciated.
Namaste!
Kyon

When a coffee tree is planted, it has the potential to grow into so much more than "Just a Tree." That's why Conscious Impact's agriculture team is developing a program to ensure regenerative reforestation, climate change mitigation and livelihood security. Next Year Conscious Impact is helping the farmers of takure to plant 10,000 coffee trees.
Our Vision
When a farmer in Takure chooses to plant our trees, they are joining a local Nepali coffee cooperative. Each cooperative branch guarantees:
- A fair wage per Kg of organic red coffee berry (83R/Kg)
- Equal gender representation
- No child labour
When rural families are given high agriculture based wages they are able to keep their families together. This means:
- Men will not have to outsource their work to Kathmandu or abroad
- Children will be able to stay in school
- Single women head of households can farm while taking care of thier children
- Families will be kept together in their village
- Local village economies can grow
Organic coffee is sold at a higher price, helping us to certify our farmers and their land as organic. When coffee farms are organic, less harmful chemicals are being put into Himalayan soil. When the trees mature, they are reducing carbon in the atmosphere, which will help to protect the increasing danger of climate change to the Himalayas where 1.4 billion people in the world depend on Himalayan water. When trees are healthy, and the land is restored we are working towards:
- Carbon sequestration
- Climate change mitigation
- Agriculture based reforestation
- Landslide prevention
Our agriculture program will continue to ensure these practices are in place in Takure. When trees are planted under best practices the opportunities for growth are endless.
