We are "stepping up" and taking part in Nurturing Minds' Walk for Water, a 3.7 mile walk, run or hike which will take place on Sunday, September 26th.  

Women and girls in Tanzania and across Africa walk an average of 3.7 miles (6 kilometers) a day to collect water for their families. By taking part in Nurturing Minds' Walk for Water, we are bringing awareness to the impact that time-consuming tasks like carrying water can have on girls attending school and completing their education.

Our team will be meeting at 8:45 at the Bethesda Outdoor Pool, where Hillandale Rd. and Little Falls Parkway meet, in the parking lot of the pool.  Departure at 9:00 am.  We'll walk on the Crescent Trail towards DC for a bit less than 2 miles and then return.  On a nice day, it will be a beautiful walk.  Hope you will come!
