The Travis Mills Foundation Volunteer Story

The Travis Mills Foundation Volunteer Story

We are the behind-the-scenes Volunteers who, pick the families up and drop them off at the various airports, help cook the meals, mow the lawns, make the gardens look beautiful, take the families fishing and kayaking and climb the ropes course and... and ... and...

Forty-Two weeks of each year, The Travis Mills Foundation Hosts Families, or PATHH Warriors or Caregivers for a week of Recalibrating their lives.  And helping them do that, are the 100's of volunteers each week that help feed the Vets, keep the retreat looking awesome, support the families while fishing, snowshoeing, and doing a myriad of activities to relax, rejuvenate and recalibrate.

Our Travis Mills Foundation - Volunteer Team pulling members represent the 100's of volunteers who give of their time-talents-and treasure to raise the money needed for Travis Mills Foundation to provide retreats for more than 150 families, more than 100 PATHH Warriors and almost 50 Caregivers this year alone.

The Travis Mills Foundation supports post-911 recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation.

We support these veterans through our nationally recognized Veterans Retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine.

Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses-paid, barrier-free experience in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors.

The Foundation also hosts Warrior PATHH (Progressive & Alternative Training for Helping Heroes), a life-changing program for combat veterans and first responders that enables participants to transform times of deep struggle into profound strength and growth.
