No one ever thinks that at 38 weeks pregnant when they go into labor they would find out that their baby is no longer living, but unfortunately that’s what happened to us. We experienced an unimaginable loss and tragedy that has forever changed our lives. And if you’re thinking, “I wonder how they did it?”…. We think the same thing every day of our lives. While I’ll never know how we actually got through each day, I do know that the creator took care of us in the only way he knew how…. By placing the right people in our lives at the right time.
To our dearest Robin Foley, you are an angel on earth. Robin was our nurse. The one who took care of us while we tried to process what was happening. She was there while we tried to say hello. And she was there while we had to say goodbye. Robin knew the pain we had because she lost her sweet baby, Noah. She knew exactly what was ahead…. the fight to survive.
Robin gave us some information on Hope After Loss…. a group that supports those who have gone through what we both went through. We were able to go to a couple group sessions which were hard and comforting all at the same time. But we were lucky because we already had our Robin to answer questions and listen to our grief.
I’m not sure how many others get their Robins. For us, these donations help families to find their Robins. Please help us come together to support this non-profit and show families that there is Hope After Loss. They don’t have to go through this alone.
