Dear Friends and Family,

This is my 11th year as a successful kidney transplant recipient, thanks to my donor and nephew, Aaron.  I will always be eternally grateful for his generosity.

The year is an extra special year because Shawn, my wife, donated her kidney through the National Kidney Registry as a non-direct donation.  This means that she didn't know who would receive her kidney.  After my transplant in 2014, Shawn always said that she would "Pay it Forward" someday, and she was able to do that on Feb 26, 2025, four days after her 59th birthday.  We don't know the recipient who received Shawn's kidney, but we were told that she is a young woman in her 30s.  

Thanks Aaron and Shawn, who not only demonstrated generosity but also made a profound impact by donating the gift of life. Their actions rippled outwards, touching the lives of all their family members, friends, coworkers, and community members. I am incredibly proud of Shawn, and I am honored to be organizing a team and fundraising for this immensely important cause.
